Karaoke (Japanese: from karano meaning "empty" and okesutora for "orchestra") is a form of entertainment in which an amatuer singer or singers sing along with recorded music on a microphone. The music is typically a well-known song from which the voice of the original singer has been removed. The song's lyrics are displayed on a television screen, super-imposed over engaging video images, and the words change color in rhythm with the music, helping the singers keep time.
At Blue Karaoke, you will be guided into a music box, or NoraeBang (Korean: Norae meaning "song" and Bahng for "room", hence song room), a colorful, private, sound-proofed room equipped with a plasma TV, a video/karaoke machine, microphones, tamborines, comfortable leather sofas and coffee tables. Our staff will show you a song book that contains over 10,000 selections in seven different languages and all music genres. Simply find your favorites, punch in the song numbers on the room's remote control, grab a microphone and let it roll. The remote control device will also allow you to change a song's tempo, its musical key and even its melody. Video options include natural scenery, famous cities and world architecture, pop and rock stars, and music concert footage. Our karaoke machines will even rate your performances, but watch out. Too many perfect scores of 100 will probably result in a roomful of autograph hounds.
